There are people that you hear about who are welfare bums. Who choose to enjoy the handouts. And then there are those that work really really hard - day in and day out, just to make ends meet. Yet refusing a handout. At times even refusing a handup.
We all have come across those individuals. Who smile in the face of adversity. Who always respond with, "Very Well, thank you", each and every time they get asked about their well being. They are proud to not bore you with the tales of their ill fortunes. Life may have thrown everything at that them, but they carry their burden with a smile, with their head held high. They are amazing human beings.
I am proud to know them.
